Organisational Membership
The Community Hospitals Association is the national voice for community hospitals and community hubs across the UK. We bring together organisations working in and alongside community-based care to share learning, strengthen practice and champion the contribution of community hospitals within integrated health and care systems.
Organisational membership is for organisations that want to actively support and shape the future of community hospitals and locally rooted care.
This includes:
- NHS trusts and provider organisations
- Integrated Care Boards and commissioners
- Community hospitals and community health and wellbeing hubs
- Leagues of Friends and voluntary sector organisations
- Research bodies and system partners
- Companies working alongside community hospital services
Why organisational membership matters
Community hospitals sit at the heart of local health systems, yet they are often under-represented in national conversations about service design, integration and investment.
By becoming a paid organisational member, you are helping to ensure that community hospitals have:
- a strong and credible national voice
- a place in system-level thinking about integrated care
- opportunities to share learning and influence practice across the UK
What organisational members gain
As an organisational member, you will:
- Be part of a UK-wide network - Connect with organisations facing similar challenges and opportunities across different systems and geographies.
- Contribute to shared learning and improvement - Share practice, insight and innovation, and learn from others working in community hospitals and hubs.
- Support national visibility and influence - Help strengthen the collective voice of community hospitals in policy, system and professional conversations.
- Engage with CHA activity and events - Receive our newsletter, take part in Special Interest Group discussions, and engage with CHA conferences and learning opportunities.
- Demonstrate organisational commitment - Show your support for community-focused, person-centred care and the role of community hospitals within integrated systems.
Supporting the CHA
The Community Hospitals Association is an independent, membership-led organisation. We do not receive central funding.
Income from organisational membership directly supports our ability to:
- convene organisations and networks across the UK
- host learning events and national conferences
- share evidence, insight and good practice
- advocate for the value and contribution of community hospitals
Your membership helps sustain this work for the benefit of patients, communities and services.
Leagues of Friends and voluntary organisations
Leagues of Friends and voluntary organisations play a vital role in supporting community hospitals and representing local voices.
Organisational membership offers a way to:
- connect with others undertaking similar work
- share learning and experience nationally
- support the wider movement to strengthen community hospitals
We recognise the diversity of Leagues of Friends and are happy to discuss membership in a way that reflects local circumstances.
